Anzac Restaurant is run by a successful team who previously worked for Sir Terrance Conran in his flagship restaurant. Tucked away just off the centre of Dartmouth the restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere and a menu of seasonal locally sourced produce. Typical plates include: rock oysters or garlicky gambas followed by line caught seabass with a tomato and creme frache sauce and roasted rosemary new potatoes.
The service is friendly and helpful. Everything from the bread to the ice cream homemade and there is an unpretentious approach to the wine list.

Located within the contemporary surroundings of the former St Barnabas Church, Dartmouth Apprentice cooks modern Italian food. What makes Dartmouth Apprentice stand out is that 100% of all its profits is reinvested to help unemployed people.
Dartmouth Apprentice is owned by the charity Training for Life and is the second Apprentice restaurant co-founded by the social entrepreneur Gordon Da Silva and the celebrated chef and restaurateur, Prue Leith. Consultant Chef Clemente Maiorano devised the original menu, set up and oversaw the operation of the kitchen during the first season, before handing over to the permanent team in early 2009.
The emphasis is on simple food, made from fresh local produce and enhanced with the best ingredients from Italy. Dishes range from traditional classics to modern Mediterranean cooking and are served in the first floor restaurant with fabulous views of the River Dart.
